 President’s Message


Hi Everyone its me. I'm back for another great year. The elections were held on Wednesday, Jan. 11th and your new board was elected. MiMi returns as chapter president, Belen is Vice-President and Pat is Secretary/Treasurer. Mary Anne will be our Newsletter Editor, so everyone get your information to Mary Anne on or before the 12th of the month. This will insure that the events will get posted in our newsletter for the following month. The board had a brief meeting after the elections and we have planned some great event for the children in February and March. There will be Free Dinosaur Tours at U. of M. Natural History Museum. A day at the DIA. A tour of the Chelsea Teddy Bear Plant in March and the list goes on.
Members we have not forgotten about you. The children will have many great events and so will you. The dances are going to be on the 4th Sat. of every month, along with a Steak Dinner and Turkey Fry Fundraisers. Watch the newsletter for more information. We hope to see more members participate in these events. There will be a group picture taken at each of the events so put on your best smile and say PWP.

Family & Youth information

Feb. 5,   Join us to see Dinosaurs in Ann Arbor, 1:30pm—3:30pm,  Free Dinosaur Tours at the U. of M. Natural History Museum. Meet at 1:30 in front of the building for sign-in and group picture. The mu-seum is located at 1109 Geddes Ave., Ann Arbor. RSVP to Belen at 734-281-0683. 

 
Feb. 26,    9:45am-5:00pm            Day at the Detroit Institute of Arts, located on Woodward in Detroit.  Meet at 9:45 am in front of the Bldg. for / sign-in and a group picture.  You & your child to roam the museum until 11:30 am.  Meet at the cafeteria for lunch followed by musical event in the theatre until 1:00 pm.  After the music event  feel free to roam or participate in the arts & craft section.  The DIA is open until 5:00pm.  The children will be subsidized.    Let's go and have some fun.     RSVP to Belen at 734-281-0683.

Parent Social 

Feb. 11,   7:30 pm   General Meeting and Amigo's Meet & Greet at Pat's. Later, an educational discussion. Mimi teaches first aid. Then cards and conversation from 10:00 - 12:00.  Call Pat at                 248-478-8977.

Feb. 16,  LEO (Let's Eat Out). 7:00 - 8:30 at Applebee's. The corner of 6 Mile and Newburgh in Northville.  New Member Orientation plus,  join Mary Anne for a lively discussion - Kisses aren't contracts.  For directions and info, contact Pat at 248-478-8977.
